DDR Component Validation Program
DDR component level validation testing is to support the functionality
of DDR SDRAM components. The reference for this testing is the JEDEC DDR
specification. Validation testing will evolve based on changes to this
spec. Validation is not designed to cover all datasheet parameters and
functions, nor does it cover specific chipset / OEM requirements not recognized
by JEDEC. In conjunction with module and system testing, it is intended
to assure the components are capable of meeting the basic timing and I/O
specs

DDR DIMM Validation Program
The purpose of the DDR DIMM testing program is for validating registered
and unbuffered DDR DIMMs utilizing ATE and system-level testing. This
program targets DRAM device vendors who use DDR compliant devices to build
184-pin registered and unbuffered DIMMs. DDR DIMMs which pass the testing
process will be determined to have met the minimum JEDEC published module
specifications in addition to having passed functional system testing
on participating OEMs' reference platforms.
